What Is Jito Bundles?
Atomic transaction bundles on Solana that protect against MEV frontrunning.
Definition
Jito is a Solana validator client and block engine that enables MEV (Maximal Extractable Value) infrastructure. Jito bundles allow multiple transactions to be submitted as an atomic group — either all land in the same block or none do. This prevents other bots from inserting transactions between your steps.
How It Works
A bundle groups related transactions (e.g., buy token → redeem → receive USDC) and submits them together through Jito's block engine. The bundle is either included in its entirety at a specific block position or excluded entirely, eliminating sandwich attacks and frontrunning.
In Continuum
Arbitrageurs maintaining Continuum's price peg use Jito bundles to execute multi-step arb atomically: buy underpriced tokens on a Meteora DLMM pool, redeem at Continuum for oracle value, and capture the spread — all in one protected bundle. Without Jito, a faster bot could frontrun the DEX leg and extract the profit.
