What Is Pyth Network?

A high-frequency oracle network providing real-time price data on Solana.

Definition

Pyth Network is an oracle solution designed for low-latency, high-frequency price updates. First-party data providers (exchanges, market makers) contribute prices directly, reducing manipulation risk.

How It Works

Data providers publish prices to Pyth, which aggregates them using confidence-weighted algorithms. Prices update every 400ms on Solana, enabling real-time DeFi applications.

In Continuum

Continuum relies on Pyth for all synthetic asset pricing. When you mint or redeem, Pyth provides the oracle price. Fast updates enable tight arbitrage and accurate valuations.
