Fees and costs on Continuum
Free to try on devnet. Check the quote before you trade.
Continuum runs on Solana devnet with free test cUSDC. You don't pay a subscription or use real money here. Trades still have fees in test tokens, so you can see how costs affect a position before you sign.
What you pay
Mint and redeem fees
The base fee starts at 0.10% to mint tokens and 0.10% to redeem them. At that rate, a 100 cUSDC mint costs 0.10 cUSDC. Fees can rise with volatility, and some trades qualify for a waiver. The displayed fee is an estimate. Risk settings and waivers can change the fee charged by the program.
Mint and redeem can pause when the underlying market is closed or the oracle price is stale. Check that the action is available before signing.
Trading spreads and slippage
A spread is the gap between the price to buy and the price to sell. An instant trade also uses the book's available liquidity, which can make a larger order cost more. Committed orders fill at a later oracle price with a spread that starts at 0.10% from NAV, the protocol's token price. That spread can widen with volatility. The price can change before the order fills.
The Pyth price API reports the underlying asset's price. It does not quote a Continuum token or tell you what your trade will cost.
Solana network fees
Every transaction needs devnet SOL to pay the network fee. The amount depends on the transaction and any priority fee. Creating a token account may also need a rent deposit. The faucet gives you test cUSDC; your wallet still needs devnet SOL.
Holding a position
Continuum has no margin interest or funding rate. The short token's value does decay with volatility over time. This changes the value of the token you hold; it is separate from the fee you pay to trade. Read about short tokens before holding one for a long stretch.
What can go wrong
- These are devnet terms. Mainnet pricing has not been announced.
- Fees, spreads and oracle quote adjustments can change. Review the estimate and minimum amount received before signing; the estimate may differ from the amount charged.
- Test tokens have no cash value, and devnet accounts or market addresses can change.
