What Is Long Token (L Token)?

A token that gains value when the underlying asset price increases.

Definition

A Long token represents bullish exposure to an asset. When the underlying price rises, the Long token value increases proportionally. In Continuum, Long tokens are always minted alongside Short tokens.

How It Works

Long tokens track the oracle price of the underlying asset. If you hold GOLD-L and gold rises 10%, your token value increases by approximately 10%. The value gained comes from the paired Short token.

In Continuum

When you mint at Continuum, you receive equal amounts of L and S tokens. To get pure long exposure, sell your S token on a DEX. The remaining L token gives you directional upside exposure.
